Registration of Foreign Rings: it was agreed that Foreign Rings ( that is, rings issued by recognised Unions outside Ireland and the United Kingdom) would be registered with both Region Secretaries. This would be accepted as ownership.
All rings issued by recognised Unions within Ireland and the United Kingdom would have to be transferred through the issuing Union.
1999
That contact phone numbers be included on Ring Lists.
That name and address rings be permitted.
2000
That, in relation to appeals to the Supreme Council, all parties concerned with the appeal, when receiving notice of the said appeal would also receive a Declaration Sheet to sign, declaring that they will accept the decision of the Supreme Council as final and binding. This Declaration Sheet must be returned to the Union Secretary within seven days of receipt of the notice of appeal. If the Declaration Sheet is not forthcoming, the appeal will not be heard.
2007
That all clubs adopt a Code of Practice regarding children within clubs.
That the fee for an appeal to a Region be £25stg. or euro40. In all cases, the loser is liable for that fee.
That the fee for an appeal to the Supreme Council be £50stg. or euro 80. In all cases, the loser is liable for the fee.
Amendment to Rule 78: change "Clearance Sale" to "Entire Clearance Sale". Also include: "Only two types of Sales are permitted: 'Entire Clearance Sale' or 'Sale of Pigeons'. Any other description of Sale will be deemed as an 'Entire Clearance Sale' and the member will be debarred for three years from competing in any race or Show, reckoned from the date such sale is advertised or published. Debarred members wishing to rejoin can obtain rings in the third year, but must complete the three-year debarrment. Club Secretaries must notify their Region Secretary in writing of any member that is having an "Entire Clearance Sale"
Only the details of Recognised Rings can be entered on any sheet relating to racing or showing or any other administrative items.
That in the case of partnerships, disputes involving the partners will be judged on their merit.
In a partnership, the first named partner will be deemed the Senior Partner, and will be responsible for the said partnership.
2009
That the Electronic Timing System be passed for use from the start of the 2009 Old Bird Season.
That the draft of rules be adopted for the Electronic Timing System.
That rubber rings can be inserted in all conventional timing clocks without a thimble, provided the clocks have been fitted with the flap recommended by the manufacturer.
That the rule be deleted whereby only one race rubber may be put in a thimble, and where a thimble contains more than one race rubber, all corresponding pigeons in that thimble are disqualified.
